Meet our founder

Hey! I'm Ruvimbo Gumbo aka Rue :)

I'm the visionary behind The W8 Room, a sanctuary created for women navigating life's waiting seasons.

The W8 Room was birthed during my dance with depression whilst I navigated an extremely challenging season of my life. Inspired by this journey that built my faith and resilience, I founded The W8 Room to help women find strength, purpose and peace during uncertain times.

I believe the greatest gift we all have is time and waiting seasons shouldn't be endured but embraced and used as opportunities for expansion and extension in preparation for the next season. My mission is to provide a safe, faith-based sanctuary where women can trust GOD's timing, support each other and thrive together.

Through weekly blogs, podcasts and reflections, together let's transform the weight of the wait into the gains we need to unlock our potential for the next chapter and turn life's pauses into moments of empowerment.

Our Values

  • Faith

    Grounded in Christian beliefs, we trust in GOD's timing and plan. By leaning into our faith, we find strength and peace, even in uncertain times, knowing each season has a purpose.

  • Time

    Time is an irreplaceable gift that shouldn't be wasted! It's a present we ought to thankfully unwrap each waking moment by intentionally being present - not drowned by past regrets or focused on an unknown future.

  • Exhaling

    While we wait, we believe in exhaling and letting go of all that we can't control. Releasing our anxieties and shifting to a posture of trust, surrender, and active presence.

  • Expansion

    We see life's waiting seasons as opportunities to build and expand in every sense. Through life's challenges, we strengthen our inner resolve and emerge with greater hope and determination to face the future with confidence.

  • Extension

    Our global sisterhood is built on support. Through extending a hand we lift each other up, so no one ever feels alone when life feels like it's paused.
